Series of print-on-demand sites starts with celebration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s 150th birthday

Ashland OR – June 8, 2017 – Art Authority LLC through its 1000Museums brand today announced plans for a series of “Focus On” sites offering archival reproductions of works from time-honored American institutions. The initial Focus on Frank Lloyd Wright site, flw.1000Museums.com is being launched today, coinciding with the 150th birthday of the “Greatest American architect of all time.”

Future Focus On sites are planned this summer for:

– The Library of Congress (founded 1800)
– The Boy Scouts of America (founded 1910), and their quintessential American painter Norman Rockwell (born 1894)
– Popular Russian-American artist Mark Rothko (born 1903)
– American abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock (born 1912)

The Focus on Frank Lloyd Wright site features new FLW Foundation-approved and licensed “Wright across America” commemorative prints, specifically designed for the 150th birthday celebration. A wide selection of reproductions of the architect’s historical drawings and sketches is also available. The new commemoratives, consisting of a master map of Wright-designed buildings across the US and eleven site-specific prints of those buildings, will only be available during the one-year celebration. The prints are all based on original Wright sketches.

“We’re pleased to continue Frank Lloyd Wright’s legacy of innovation by teaming up with the print technology leader, Art Authority. They are using the latest in print-on-demand tech to reproduce the sublime artistry of Wright’s drawings and designs so as to deliver to the viewer a rich visual experience. Their use of current digital marketing will make these easily available to consumers and increase the awareness of Wright’s vision and his draftsmanship” said David Oates, Director of Licensing & Retail for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.

Art Authority is also working directly with representatives of the other Focus On sites for similar approval and impact. The new Focus On sites all leverage Art Authority’s established 1000Museums brand, known for the latest in print-on-demand technology, top-quality archival reproductions, and its broad set of museum and cultural institution relationships. The full 1000Museums print-on-demand line is available at 1000Museums.com

About the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation

Wright’s legacy, reflected in contemporary work around sustainable and affordable architecture and excellence in design, is of even greater importance today than in his own time. The Foundation is forward-looking, but rooted in the history of the Taliesin communities.
